You have a great sense of humor and laughing is my favorite thing so...See the sentence before this one. ;)

I also don't care for Valentine's Day. The first year my husband and I were married, we decided to start the tradition of buying a present, as a couple, for someone else. That first year, we bought a new vacuum for my best friend because hers had just died. I don't remember what we've done every V-day...I know one year, we took my grandmother out for dinner. Anyway, I'm not trying to toot my own horn. I'm leading up to this: I've learned to look forward to it as a "second and one-sided Christmas". This year, we didn't have the money to celebrate at all-- for ourselves or for anyone else. One friend offered to take the kids for us and my best friend gave us twenty bucks to go out. :D It was the best valentine's ever.chasyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15734574866933733588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19810400.post-49165498200004835442011-02-10T14:15:36.522-05:002011-02-10T14:15:36.522-05:00I'm married and the only time Valentine's ...I'm married and the only time Valentine's day ever meant anything to me was when I wasn't attached... then it sucked.

Personally, I'd rather buy my own chocolate - yummy chocolate - that I don't have to squish to see if I like it, because I wouldn't buy myself chocolate I didn't like... and pink and red stuffed animals do not match my decor... and I don't really like the expensive flowers - I like carnations because they smell pretty and last a long time. Nothing is sadder than 12 rosebuds with broken (limp, hungover) necks on the morning February 15th.

What a waste of money that could've been some really nice shoes!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06892921431345392453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19810400.post-87013792906406970482011-02-10T10:53:52.526-05:002011-02-10T10:53:52.526-05:00We typically don't do anything special for V-d...We typically don't do anything special for V-day. We're both of the opinion that we love each other throughout the year--we don't need to "prove" it on a day in Feb.~michelle pendergrasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04963999375035588206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19810400.post-62215056038812697742011-02-09T15:21:12.922-05:002011-02-09T15:21:12.922-05:00Hear, hear!!

And I already bought myself my VDay present - Bath & Body on sale. ;)Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02395906581830016475noreply@blogger.com
