Photo Hunt #18 - Candy

The Photo Hunter Theme this week is "Candy".

I've never understood the fascination with Jelly Beans. I think they're gross, but I know most people love them...what flavor's your favorite?

Happy Hunting.

The black ones are my favorite. I love licorice.
Sending good vibes your way - can't wait for your next trip to NYC.

I don't really like jelly beans, but jelly bellies I do like. I don't like the black ones but the rest are great. I really like the buttered popcorn ones and I guess they would be my favourite. They come up in conversation every day at work as I am a tour guide and jelly bellies contain beeswax and that is what I talk about.

I'm with Dawn. I can pass on Jelly Beans, but love Jelly Bellies! Just about any flavor, but the buttered popcorn comes to mind. :o)

Coconut if it is jelly bellies, for the plain old variety it's the red ones. You can see my Canadian candy offering by clicking here. – Margy

Jelly Belly buttered popcorn and the discontinued Tabasco flavor. Only not to be eaten together!

Are those jelly bellies BTW? A friend of mine bought a box of jelly beans based on the Harry Potter movies with some strange and nasty flavors that I just didn't want to sample. However I would like to sample some of those jelly beans but I had gastric bypass surgery to lose weight (almost 200 pounds thus far lost) two years ago and I've avoided sugars since then with very few exceptions. If I consume too much sugar, I will get a case of "dumping syndrome" which suffice to say is quite unpleasant. This is something all gastric bypass patients will get from time to time from eating too much, eating too fast, consuming too much sugars or carbs, and sometimes from foods that just don't sit well. It's not life threatening and usually lasts only about 20 minutes, but it's no fun.

BTW, there is a store here in Tallahassee that stocks some hard-to-find imported candy mostly from Great Britain, Belgium and Japan and another little store just up the road in Havana, Florida (an antique shop mecca if you’re ever in the area) that sells British foods including plenty of candy. And there are several Oriental markets in the area with plenty of Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese candies.

I've got my PhotoHunt entry up at http://www.anniemayhem.com/cgi-bin/wordpress/ in case you're interested. If you do visit, please leave a comment and feel free to explore the rest of my little blog.
