Cafe Karina - The Bachelor - Will You Marry Me?

Well, here it is, this is it, the final episode of The Bachelor, the one where Jason will choose his future bride.



Will it be Molly or Melissa? Or will DeAnna, who is finally showing up after we've been teased about her appearance sind episode one, come in and steal him away?



Who will it be?



Before he makes his final decision, the girls will get to meet Jason son Ty, and the rest of his family.



First up is Melissa, who is nervous and excited to meet Ty. They hit it off instantly and I really think the three of them make an adorable family. And then it's time for Melissa to meet the rest of the family.



I think she won them all over. Jason's family is protective and guarded after the whole DeAnna fiasco, and the fact that Jason hasn't met Melissa's parents has them all feeling uncertain, but it's hard not to fall in love with Melissa. She's a sweet, charming, down to earth and real girl. And the two of them really are great together.



But then it is Molly's turn to meet Ty. It takes Ty a little bit to warm up to Molly, but once he does, the three of them also have a great day, and it also seems natural and comfortable. Another potentially great little family.



But first, Molly needs to meet the rest of Jason's family. Once again, Jason's family grills his "potential" future wife. And once again, the girl delivers. Molly impresses the family with her level head and straight shooting.



It is obvious that Jason feels strongly for both of these women, and we can see what a tough decision he's got ahead of him.



Jason and Melissa have one final date, and before this date, Melissa talks to her parents, who agree to speak with Jason on the phone, taking down that one last doubt Jason's been holding on to. They have a fun, sweet and romantic last date, and from where I sit, I can't imagine any reason why Jason wouldn't pick her.



But then there's Molly, and they too still have one final date. On their date Molly treats Jason to a massage, and a homecooked meal. She takes the opportunity to tell Jason once again that she is in love with him, and to give him a "fairy tale" scrapbook of their experience together. It is a really sweet gesture, and Molly is a great girl, and probably a good match for Jason as well. I think something is lacking there when you see Jason look at her...

But, as if that wasn't enough...It's DeAnna's turn to show up and mess with his mind a bit. But after all that hype? LAME! LAME LAME LAME!!! She came on the show to give him advice? Advice from her?? Yeah, because that worked out well for her right? LAME! One full season of "teasers" and in less than 3 minutes her segment is done and over and...lame.

So, it is back to Jason deciding between the two girls Molly or Melissa, which one will it be?

He keeps saying that he still doesn't know which girl he's going to pick, but yet, he's picking out an engagement ring. Here's where I'm thinking that perhaps, just maybe, if you can't make up your mind between two girls...you're not quite ready to propose?

But, the truth is, he already knows. I think it's obvious in the words he uses to describe both women that he knows which one he wants to be with. But then, I could be totally wrong, after all, I was sure last season that DeAnna was going to pick Jason and boy, was I wrong!

Finally, the first limo pulls up and out steps Molly...is she on her way to get the ring, or to get her heart broken? Seeing as she's up first, we're led to believe, from previous seasons that Jason has not chosen her. And he has not. It is actually really sad and little heart breaking to watch Jason tell Molly she's not the one, that he's in love with someone else. but her reaction, telling him "I think you've made a mistake, a big one" actually put me off her a little bit. It was the same thing that never let me warm up to her as a choice for him. On paper, she's great, but Jason is more of an emotional person, and they just didn't mesh in that regard. I believe they both cared about each other, and Jason's tears once he let her go sure looked real and gut-wrenchingly painful, but I think he picked the right girl out of the two.

And speaking of the right girl, it's time for Melissa to step out of her limo and find out her fate.

She is visibly shaken as she walks up to Jason, and when he tells her he loves her she jumps up and down and screams and is just absolutely adorable. Really, this is a fairly tale ending, isn't it? They are so freakin' cute together, aren't they?

But before I sign off with my Bachelor recaps for the season, we jump straight into "After the Final Rose", the reunion show. And we've been told that this will be the most dramatic after the rose ceremony EVER...lots of suspense, lots of drama, what in the world are we about to be thrown into?

It's been six weeks since the final rose ceremony and Jason steps up on stage with tears in his eyes. He's there to tell us that the chemistry with Melissa is gone and that he can't stop thinking about Molly.

WOW, didn't see that one coming. But I guess Molly did, she told him he was making a big mistake.

So, Jason is going to break up with Melissa on this show...it's only fitting that they would fall in love on a show, so they'd break up on the show as well. But now, not only is he planning on breaking up with her, he's planning on asking Molly for a second chance.

A little bit of that "cake and eat it too" scenario, no? And I thought DeAnna was a mess.

So, Melissa comes out and you can see she knows what's coming, there's no warmth between these two. She is angry, and there is some serious unresolved issues between them. Jason has obviously already made up his mind that it's over between them, and Melissa is mad that he's not willing to fight for them. And I have tell you, I agree with her. He's just completely coming across as just wishy washy. It's too hard, so I'm going to try with the other girl now.

I didn't think Jason had this in him, I'm highly disappointed. That was one UGLY goodbye. "Don't call me, don't text me anymore, leave me alone..." Ouch. Poor Melissa. I felt bad for Jason at the end of last season, and at the end of this one? I'm kind of mad at him as well. How do you break up with the person you said you wanted to spend the rest of your life with and in the same breath say you want another chance with someone else?

In the meantime, Molly comes out, and fesses up that she is still in love with Jason, so does this mean he'll get his second chance? She flat out tells us that all she wants is to hear him say "I made a mistake, I want you back"...oh, what a twisted twisted show this is...

Jason comes out and Molly has all the same questions for him that he asked DeAnna last season..."when did you know?" So, Jason spills all. And the look on Molly's face is priceless. Her reaction couldn't have been scripted any better in the best Oscar winning movie performance.

Molly is speechless, but agrees that after some serious discussions and larger conversations, then yes, maybe they can see where things can go. And then they kiss...really?

What a croc this whole thing has been. What a slap in the face for poor Melissa. what a joke. No wonder I never watched this stupid show before.

But wait there's more...tomorrow night there's a "part two" of the Bachelor, After the Final Rose. Really?

UGH...I'm done. Of course, this means that either Jillian or Melissa will be next season's Bachelorette, doesn't it?

Cafe Karina - The Bachelor - And then there were two

This week on The Bachelor, Jason and the three final ladies are in New Zealand. Beautiful scenery and backdrop to falling in love, don't you think?

So, will this trip help Jason make up his mind which of these women he wants to spend the rest of his life with? We'll see.

For his first date in New Zealand, Jason picks Jillian up in a helicopter and takes her for a mountain top picnic. They have great conversation and appear to be having a good time, but Jason keeps telling the camera that he wants "passion" and it's apparent he's not feeling it with her. The conversation, the connection, the friendship is there, but if the passion is not, can it work? I'm a firm believer that if there's no "spark" it just doesn't work. You can't fake passion and it's necessary in order for a relationship to work. It can't be all passion, but it is necessary.

But, by the end of the evening the two decide to spend the night in the "fantasy suite", and hey, maybe there is something there. You can't fault the guy for trying right? yeah, we won't go there...

The next day Jason has a date with Molly. He takes her to a bridge that has "The best view in New Zealand" and tells her they're bungee jumping. Okay folks, I don't care how much I care about a man, bungee jumping? NOT HAPPENING, EVER. I'm just sayin'. But Molly? Scared as she was totally went for it. Good for her. After the jump, over lunch, Molly pulls out a LONG list of questions for Jason, everything from his favorite flavor of ice cream to his favorite holiday. At first I thought it was weird, but then as she got into the questions I realized what a brilliant idea she had. Those little things are so important to know, and they say so much about your personality...very smart of Molly. Jason seemed to have fun answering the questions, but he states that "Fun is always easy with Molly", he wants to know if she can get serious. So, over dinner, the conversation definitely gets more serious and Molly tells Jason she thinks she's falling in love with him.

This is one cruel twisted show, isn't it? I mean, here's this guy, and these three girls, all spilling their hearts to him, letting themselves fall in love with him, and in the end, two of them are going home empty handed, very soon too. Twisted, right?

Jason's final New Zealand date is with Melissa and as much as Jason is into her, he still hasn't met her family, and for a guy like Jason, this is a big deal. Can he get past it? Jason takes Melissa out on Winston Churchill's old boat for a sail around the lake, taking in the beautiful scenery. I think of all the girls, Jason feels the strongest connection with Melissa, I think from the beginning she's kind of been the one he's kept in his back pocket, the one he's always felt that extra spark with. But the family thing is definitely an issue for him. Only time will tell if it will be a bit enough issue to keep her from winning her man. Melissa does, however, take advantage of their time together to reveal to Jason that she has fallen in love with him.

And then, it is time for the final rose ceremony. Because after this, it is not a rose, it is an engagement ring. One of the three women is about to get her heart broken tonight however, which one will it be? If I had to call it, I'd say Jillian was the one going home this time, call it a hunch...but I'll tell you what, Jason's got one tough call to make, because these really are some great girls, aren't they? And I still think Jason's quite the catch, reality television or not, I can see how these girls have fallen for him in such a short time. Heck, I fell for him just watching him on the Bachelorette. Well, yeah, okay...not so much.

Moving on, Jason delivers a heartfelt speech before handing out the final two roses. The first rose goes to Melissa, confirming my suspicions that she's definitely on track to get that ring. And then the final rose goes to Molly, meaning that yes, it is in fact Jillian who will be going home this week.

Jason walks Jillian out and tells her that although he cares for her, their lives are too different and also that he didn't feel the "and more" in addition to the "best friend" feelings. It is a tortuous, sad goodbye, with lots of tears and emotion. And it's not just Jillian shedding the tears. As she drives away, Jason breaks down himself. This show is definitely cruel and twisted.

So, there it is, the final two girls are Molly and Melissa, but before we can find out who he picks, next week we have a reaunion show, to find out ome behind the scenes information, some dirt from the women he didn't choose.

Then in two weeks we'll find out which girl will be the one Jason chooses for his wife. But before that can happen, DeAnna shows up to stir things up. The dramatic return of the girl who broke Jason's heart is sure to bring out all sorts of emotions...I told you, this show is CRUEL and twisted...

Cafe Karina - The Bachelor - Meet the Parents

I've been REALLY sick the past few days and am just now beginning to feel better, so today's Bachelor recap is going to be short, sweet and to the point...so let's get to it...this week, Jason is going home with the final four girls to meet their families.

First up he goes up to Alberta, Canada to meet up with Jillian and meet her family. She shares some family secrets with Jason, and I begin to see that there could definitely be something there with the two of them. I've always liked Jillian, she's spunky, and fun, and real, but now I really like them together. And her parents and family? Oh, I love them. They're adorable. Real, down to earth, fun. Very fitting for Jason.

Next up is Molly's family. They too are a lot of fun, and instantly fall in love with Jason themselves. And I like Molly, but I don't see her being "the one" for him. They have lots of fun together, but I don't see the "it" there...whatever "it" is, it ain't there. I mean, I suppose it could be, but I don't see it.

And then it was time for Naomi and her family. Naomi I like as well, but with her, I definitely don't see it. As much as she tries to convince herself and Jason that she's "ready" for the family life, I don't think she is, and I think Jason has his doubts as well. And then there's her family...and the dead dove...that they decide to bury when Jason is there...and have him give the eulogy...uh...right! Run, Jason, run...far far away...between the dead dove, and mom's psychic visions, and dad's Jesus talk (don't get me wrong, I'm all about Jesus, but dude came on STRONG and Jason looks totally freaked out). Just as freaked out as he did when mom was talking to him about reincarnation. Uh...yeah...

And finally it's Melissa's turn. I love Melissa. She's been one of my favorites for him from the very beginning. However, Melissa drops a bomb on Jason. Her parents are not comfortable meeting Jason on camera, so he'll be meeting her friends instead. So, will this hurt her chances with him? Family is important to Jason, and meeting their families is an important part of his decision making process. So, how will this go? Jason meets her friends, two couples and their kids, and they all seem to get along really well. But, when Jason finds out that none of Melissa's friends have ever met her parents either, he gets concerned. Until Melissa explains that her parents are just very private people. Food for thought for Jason, for sure.

And then it was time for Jason to make his decision...time for the rose ceremony...who would Jason send home?

After some deliberation, Jason is ready to hand out the roses, and the first goes to Molly. Next up is Jillian, and finally, Melissa. It is Naomi who will be going home. No shocker there for me.

And that's it folks for this week. Next week the final three head to New Zealand with Jason for the romantic overnight dates. It's getting close to the end, which means the drama is bound to get heightened.

Cafe Karina - The Bachelor - Going to Seattle

There are five women left, and they're going to Jason's hometown in Seattle for two one-on-one dates, and a group date.



The ladies pack up and head out to see where Jason is from. Jason, on the other hand, is going to spend some quality time with his son Ty.



Jillian, Stephanie, Mellisa, Molly and Naomi are staying in a fancy hotel suite. Melissa is told she gets the first date of the week, a one on one with Jason. She's all excited for a night out on the town, all dressed up and ready to go. But Ty has different plans, he doesn't want his dad to leave him. So, change of plans, Melissa head's over to Jason's house to hang out for a night in, instead. She doesn't even hesitate, accepts the change, and even cleans up after the boys when she gets to the house.



Once Jason has managed to put Ty to sleep, he finally joins Melissa. Jason doesn't want any of the girls to meet his son yet, but he lets Melissa "peak in" and watch him sleep.



Meanwhile, the other four girls are freaking out because they are all jealous that Melissa is on the ONE date they all really want to experience. The laid back, at home, with his son there, date.



Stephanie, Jillian and Molly will be going on the group date next. On their date, Jason takes them on a bit of a tour of Seattle by boat. He pulls Stephanie aside for a chat, and I still don't "see" it. They have the "kid" thing in common, but, I just don't see it. I don't know...



After the boat ride, Jason takes the girls to a radio station, to appear on a radio show. Jason is on the radio, the girls are in a soundproof studio, able to see, but not hear. Meanwhile, Melissa and Naomi are listening back at the hotel.



Jason is blindfolded and kisses all three girls to figure out who is who, and he nails that piece. Then the girls are asked what their "bedroom style" is and a few othe random questions before the radio show is over, and the girls are taken out to dinner at the hotel restaurant.



Then it is time for Jillian to have her one on one chat with Jason. For the first time, probably, Jillian really shares her heart and gets all serious.



And then Molly gets her one on one time as well, and they go for a walk and have a nice chat about family.



Finally, it is time for Naomi's one on one date. They are taking a flight over Seattle on a little seaplane. After their flight, the two go rock climbing. And then it is time for a romantic indoor picnic of fondue and getting to know each other some more.



And that pretty much concludes date time in Seattle. Jason hen has to decide which girl he'll be sending home at th rose ceremony, so he drops in on the girls, to chat with the girls a little further. He wants to chat with Jillian and make sure he's not about to get his heart broken again. He feels that if there is a girl that could break his heart, she is that one. I feel that their one on one showed a different side of Jillian, one that may just be ready for the serious nature of the relationship he's looking for. Just maybe.



And then it is decision time and Jason is nowhere near ready to make the decision about which girl is going home. But a decision must be made, and finally, it is time for the rose ceremony.

The four girls who will receive roses tonight, will be taking Jason home to meet their families in their hometowns. But Jason is known for breaking the rules, and he pulls Naomi aside to chat with her before the ceremony...no scratch that...AT the ceremony. He needs to know if she feels "ready" for the life he has. And then they go back in and it is time for his decision.

So, the first rose goes to Jillian, the next to Melissa, the third to Molly, and with one rose left, who will it be? Naomi or Stephanie? And the shocker is that he gives the rose to Naomi, sending Stephanie, the single mom, home. But not before he breaks down telling her why he is sending her home. And EVERYONE is crying, Stephanie, Jason, the girls...it's tears all around.

But Jason just doesn't "feel" it, the spark just isn't there...I called it, y'all...I just didn't see it.

And that's it for this week folks...four girls left, what will happen next week? And is this the week DeAnna will show up to stir things up? Stay tuned...

Cafe Karina - The Bachelor - "I Cannot Be Silly"!

It's Bachelor time once again! This week kicks off with a singing contest. The girls are given 30 minutes to compose a song, and then they step up to perform for him. From these performances, Jason will pick the girl who will get a one on one date with him. Who will it be?

Molly sings a silly diddy, Shannon does a rap song, the rest of the girls goof off, show off, or shout off. Lauren tries her hand at a real song and actually sounds pretty good. And then Nikki has a complete melt down because she "cannot be silly" and does not even sing happy birthday to her nieces and nephews. And yet, when she finally allows herself to sing, she pulls it off with a lullaby to her future child. What was all the drama about?

When all is said (uh sung) and done, Jason picks Molly for the one on one date. And the date is just a "hang out at home date".

While the two of them are on their "cozy" s'more making date, the rest of the girls find out who will be going on the group date the next day, and who will be going on a two on one date with him. A two on one date which will send one of the girls home. Those two will be Nikki and Stephanie, which sends Nikki into her second crying fit of the day.

Back at the date, however, Jason has given Molly a rose, and invited her to "camp out" with him in a tent overnight...awww, how sweet.

So, in the morning she takes the "walk of shame" in his clothes back to the house.

And then Jason goes on a group date to the set of General Hospital, where Shannon jumps right in to a kissing scene, which quite honestly, just makes her seem like a lovesick fan...poor girl, she's so on "rock start" mode with him.

Jason, however is having a blast making out with all the girls for the sake of "acting" of course...

After all the making out...uh, acting, Jason takes all the girls to a VIP Hollywood party.

But nobody is in a party mood. All the girls are emotional, jealous, and not really enjoying themselves. All of them except Megan who is taking full advantage of the situation to try and play into Jason's arms. I have to tell you, I just still don't like her. Don't trust her, don't like her.

And then Lauren decides she's going to play bossy and "you need to give me a rose tonight or I'm going to get pissed"...and I think she comes across not exactly how she intended to...think that plan backfired sweetie.

Then Melissa breaks down and cries to Jason about how much it is hurting her to see him make out with other girls. They share a very sweet tender moment, and are rudely interrupted by Shannon. But hey, a girls' got to get her time, right? She decides to spill her heart to Jason. Guess tonight is the night for all the girls to cry their hearts out and put it all on the line.

The question is, is Jason buying all the tears and fears?

After all the crying and sharing, Jason gives Naomi the rose for the night.

And then it is time for the Two on One date. Stephanie and Nikki are presented with designer gowns for their special date. But let's not forget, only one of these girls will be coming home from their date...who will it be?

There's a bit of a dance off between the two girls with Jason. It's funny because I don't think I've ever seen a more "civilized cat fight"...but this was definitely a cat fight. Funny. Then Nikki finally opens up to Jason and tells him about her 11 year relationship which ended a little over a year ago and broke her heart.

And then it is time for Jason to give out his rose, and he gives it to Stephanie. Nikki is going home. She waited too long to open up it seems. Poor girl, it really showed in her monologue in the limo that she suffers from some serious self-esteem issues, likely stemming from her being dumped by her ex the way she was. My heart actually hurt for her a little bit...

And Stephanie? I'm still not feeling her as the one for Jason.

Back at the homestead, the girls are still stressing on the "this is so hard" factor, with another Rose ceremony around the corner.

So, let me break down my feelings on the remaining girls, now that we're down to a manageable number.

There's Jillian. I like her, but don't know that I see the romance with them.

There's Melissa. I really like her, think she's sweet, and I see a certain chemistry between them for sure.

There's Megan. I've already said it, so I won't get into it, but I just don't like her...at all. I get a really bad, phony vibe off her, and I hope he'll eventually see through to that...

There's Stephanie. She's sweet and all, but I don't know...I'm not seeing it.

There's Lauren. Eh...nope.

There's Shannon...she still freaks me out and I don't think she's in anyway equiped to handle the seriousness of a relationship, marriage and motherhood.

There's Naomi, who I like, but feel like we haven't gotten to know all that well yet.

There's Molly. I like Molly. Molly has potential.

So, who will go home? Which two girls will not get roses tonight? Stephanie, Naomi and Molly are safe with roses already.

Melissa gets the first rose of the evening, with Jillian receiving the second. And then there were three. Shannon, Lauren and Megan...who will it be?

Play the shocking suspense music a little longer and then Jason puts down the rose and says he can't give out the final rose. He tells all three ladies that he thinks they are beautiful ladies, but can't see a future with any of them, so he will not hand out the final rose...all three are going home.

See, I told you I was perfect for Jason, right? Because so far, we're totally seeing eye to eye on these girls. Ah, such is life girls...

And then there were five. FIVE...Getting close to the finish line, aren't we? What drama will we have next week?

Guess we'll have to stay tuned and see...

Cafe Karina - The Bachelor - Birthdays, Busts, Bears and Bitching

Welcome to Candid Karina's first edition of Cafe Karina - The Bachelor Recaps.

It's Episode Three of the Bachelor, and there are still plenty of Bachelorettes for Jason to choose from. Who will be sent home without a rose tonight?

There will be group dates, solo dates, and some women who will not even get a date.

The first date of the week is with Stephanie, single mom. Today is her daughter's birthday, and Jason surprise her with a visit from her daughter. Their date turns into a family outing, and Stephanie show's her mommy side, and her family side. The two of them have a great time on their date and I'll admit, I wasn't sure about Stephanie in the beginning, but she's definitely grown on me, and with this date, I could see the potential there between her and Jason. She ends the date receiving a rose, but not just any rose, a lego rose. Too cute.

The next date is a group date, and Jason is taking eight women with him. On this date are Melissa (who's already had a one on one with him), Shannon (the stalkerish dental hygienist), Nikki, Naomi, Erica, Jillian, Megan, and Kari (who I don't think I've ever seen before...where has this girl been?) and they're all going to make "casts" of their busts for a breast cancer awareness charity. An excuse for Jason to feel up a bunch of girls all for a good cause. Also an excuse for Jason to keep his shirt off for half of the episode. No complaints here.

We also get to see a little bit more about the girls' personalities...some which we could have done without knowing about, to be honest. That chick Megan? I just don't like her. I think she's completely full of herself, and is one of those people that likes to hear herself speak about all the good she does, but probably spends more time talking about what she does, then actually doing it. She really comes across as very fake for me. Melissa I really like, I think she's sweet and real. Shannon still freaks me out a little bit. Did anyone else hear the crickets chirping when Nikki and Jason were speaking one on one? Jillian I'm really beginning to like as well. She's goofy and fun, but down to earth and real too. And obviously Jason agrees, because he gives her the rose for the group date.

The next date is a solo date with Natalie. Natalie the high maintenance chick is late for her first date with Jason...not a good start. And yet, the perfect date for her includes a necklace and bracelet that are brought in by bodyguard in a locked briefcase...worth over a million dollars. If you're wearing a million dollar necklace, then I suppose a trip on a private jet to Las Vegas is almost to be expected right? Right...from a jet to a helicopter flight over Vegas. Now that's a date! But here's my question, how is this helping Jason "find out if there's more" to her with this date? It's sort of a superficial date, isn't it? As they're walking in the restaurant Jason says "walking in with the girl everyone is looking at it felt good"...superficial. So, he decides to dig beneath the surface, and all she can talk about is clothes and bears. Bears?? Really? Bears? The date wraps up with a private performance by Kate Voegele and some dancing. But, besides the fact that he's obviously attracted to her and wants to like her because he's attracted to her, there's no actual chemistry there. He's just not that into her. Natalie doesn't get the rose, she's going home. And she does not take it well at all, which really kind of shows her true colors as just a bit immature and not at all gracious. Granted, I'd probably be pissed too, but she showed an ugly side which I'm sure made Jason glad he sent her packing.

Back at the mansion, once the rest of the girls find out Natalie is gone, they get really nasty. In the meantime, Jason, spured on by Natalie's remarks about there being "mean girls" at the house, is on a mission to find out the truth. He's also, apparently, on a mission to kiss as many girls as possible in one evening.

The stress of the drama between the girls in the household begins to be too much to handle for some of the girls...namely, Shannon, the stalker. I'm sure she's a really sweet, real girl, but she still completely freaks me out.

Then Lauren tells Jason that Megan and Erica are the two trouble makers in the house, and Megan eavesdrops on the conversation, so you know her claws come out.

The rose ceremony takes a turn, Chris asking the girls to open up, speak candidly and say what needs to be said before Jason makes his decision. And so, the drama begins. The girls get ugly, Shannon gets sick, and I think Jason gets wise to some of the inner tension in the house. Of course as Shannon is getting sick, Megan is calling her a bitch...really? Pot? Kettle...Unfortunately that does not happen in front of Jason for him to see...of course.

And then Jason starts handing out roses. The first goes to Molly, the second to Lauren, then Melissa, Naomi and Shannon. At this point you can see Erica, Nikki and Megan shaking in their boots.
